Most couples who marry in Marrakech plan everything from another country. That works well, as long as a few decisions are made early. Here is what we ask every couple before the day.
1. Pick your light before your timeline
Marrakech light changes fast. The hour before sunset gives the warm, soft look most couples want, and in summer it arrives late. Build the ceremony and portraits around it, not the other way round.
2. Visit the venue through photos and video
If you can’t scout in person, ask your venue for recent, unedited photos at the time of day your ceremony will take place. We also review the venue with you over a video call and flag spots that will film well.
3. Agree on the languages
Many weddings here mix French, English, Arabic and other languages. Tell us which speeches matter most so we can place microphones and plan the subtitles of your film.
4. Decide what you want to keep
A short highlight film, a full ceremony edit, a vertical cut for social media, an album: each needs different coverage. Choosing early lets us plan the right crew.
5. Plan the guest experience too
Destination weddings often run over two or three days. Welcome dinners, hammam mornings or a day in the Agafay desert can be some of your best footage.
6. Think about drones and permits
Aerial shots are beautiful over the Palmeraie or the desert, but drone use in Morocco is regulated. Ask your team early how they handle authorisations and where flying will be possible.
7. Ask how and when you receive everything
Ask for a clear delivery date, the formats you will receive and how long files are stored. Agree on a preview date and a full delivery date before the wedding, not after.
